Larry Theurer, Chairman of SRMC Endowment Foundation plus members of hospital board and Foundation, along with hospital employees and staff gathered today to celebrate a gift from one of Wellington’s long time citizens. Ms. Linda Kirby, attorney came to present a check to the hospital foundation in honor of Sibyl K. Wells who died in October 2015 at the age of 97, said check in excess of $100,000.
The Wells’ gift is to be used for equipment intended to aid in health care and to improve the quality of life for patients at Sumner Regional Medical Center. In honor of this gift the main floor family room will be renamed and decorated in her honor. Her generous gift is greatly appreciated.
“We are very thankful to receive such a generous gift towards bettering our hospital patient’s experience. I personally was fortunate to know Ms. Wells when I was growing up as a young boy and man. She was a member of the First Christian Church of the Wellington for over 60 years. This gift will help the foundation provide the hospital with upgrades to technology and other comforts that patients and families appreciate,” said Larry Theurer Chairman of the SRMC Endowment Foundation.
“The partnership between our service area communities and the hospital is vital to the success of SRMC. We are truly grateful,” said Fred Hinman, SRMC Board Director.
