The Wellington McDonald's will be moving to a new location as soon as construction of the new facility is completed.  A ground breaking was recently held, dirt moving work is continuing and street paving is occurring.  The new site is on Hwy 160 on the east side of town.  The new McDonald's will have several "state of the art" features with improved service.  It will have a duel drive through to expedite customer service.  Traci Soles, manager, has been as the old location for 20 years and is looking forward to the new location and facility.

Kitchen Delights opened in Wellington at the corner of Harvey and Woodlawn.  Their products range from cake and cookie mixes, pastas, spices, breakfast goods and much more.  The idea is to purchase products and create them in your own home.    Kitchen Delights is currently the only direct-selling company allowed to sell Wilton kitchen products. Kitchen Delights will offer cake decorating and design classes, and candy making.  "Our ultimate goal is to be in all 50 states" said Carla Chenoweth, owner.  Currently there are no representatives in Wellington so there are many possibilities for anyone interested, to get involved and open the door to creativity.

Pig Shack Bar-b-que opened inside the Carroll Glass building at 1102 North A in Wellington.  The new owners are Shane and Preston Carroll.  The restaurant will be open at 11:00 AM daily for dine in or carry-out.  The menu will feature brisket, pulled portk chicken, ham, turkey, coleslaw, homemade french fries and more.  They will also sell Farmer Brothers Spices.
